About the Founder
Meet Asia.
Convener of women · Builder of brave spaces
Championing women to:
- Speak Up
- Stand In Their Power
- Take Up Space

Hi, I'm Asia Lareau — Keynote Speaker, Executive Coach, and Founder of Girl, Grab the Mic. I grew up in Los Angeles, built my career coast to coast, and chose Minneapolis to plant something real.
I help women awaken their inner courage to use their voice out loud and build unshakable confidence in community. The output of our time together: self-trust, a louder voice, and the courage to say yes to being seen.
Asia brings 10+ years of executive leadership experience including C-suite roles, an MIT Sloan MBA, and a conviction that every woman deserves a room that practices being heard.

The Origin
Why Girl, Grab the Mic Exists
I created Girl, Grab the Mic because I was looking for a safe and brave space to practice using my voice out loud, unapologetically, together with other women.
Now it exists: a judgment-free room where we find courage, build confidence, and do so in community.
We prioritize PLAY as we PRACTICE, which makes using our voice less scary, and way more approachable and fun.
FUN enough, you'll keep coming back.
This community is growing fast, and my favorite part is watching women support one another to show up and take up space. Know a woman who's done staying quiet? Bring her with you.
Your voice belongs in this room.
What Asia Believes
Three Truths She Teaches
Shedding old stories is essential to birth a new narrative.
You don't have to be perfect to use your voice — you just have to begin.
Shaking is normal. Speaking anyway is the practice.
What's the Front Row?
Your seat. Before the room fills up.
Front Row members get the date, the venue, and registration access before it goes public. First in line. Every time.
